This picture shows a contrast between the industrial world and the natural world through the stroke of a paintbrush. I drew the paintbrush to awaken people's awareness that we can make the change, and it is never too late to change and make the world green again.
Our planet is the only one we have. Take great care of it.
We need to take care of our environment to keep the beautiful earth. I want to see my favorite scene, beautiful sunset, forever.
“You Are Never Too Young To Make A Difference.” - Great Thunberg is a perfect example for this testimony. At this young age, she leads the fight against climate change. Not only has world leaders taken notice of her strong resistance, she remains a main inspiration for many young kids to make an attempt to make a difference in this challenging world. I was inspired by her success at addressing global climate issues and hope to show others with this portrait that they can take a stand too, no matter what age.
I chose the third provided theme, Honoring an Environmental Hero, as my topic for my art piece; it is a portrait of an environmental youth activist, Greta Thunberg, who has greatly inspired me to open up my eyes and educate myself of the circumstances of climate change encapsulating our planet (albeit in rather small beginning steps)! Ever since further learning and comprehending the aggravating issues of global warming, I tended to visualize our time slipping by within a sandglass and instead, transforming into additional drops of mercury into Earth's thermometer. (I thought this could be an interesting detail to incorporate into my art piece, utilizing a little bit of my animation magic!) I've always associated this visualization in a rather negative and distressing manner; nevertheless, through recognizing the Greta Thunberg's courage and her lessons of change, I believe my perspective has shifted more towards a path of optimism! Thus, I now think of it more as a time to act, as opposed to a countdown of catastrophe. I hope my art piece may bring additional awareness towards this environmental issue, and inspire or even provide a little more hope into the perspectives of others as well!
This artwork symbolizes equality among different ethnicities, with a clean and green environment supported by efficient recycling and energy-efficient cities. I was inspired by how many people around the world were united to preserve Earth using technology. We only have one planet and I wanted to show that if we stay united, we can preserve Mother Nature in the coming decades.
"Participating in the Eco Art Contest helped me see art in a different way. I realized that everyone in this world can use art to show message and promote peace and unity. My main takeaways from this contest was to think out of the box, step out of my comfort zone to show the viewers that I put my best into showing the art in the future world”
